We start our journey towards the Fort of São Domingos da Baralha, dating from the 17th century, considered at the time as the first defense of the Arrábida coast.
Before the fort, we will pass through the fabulous Pombeira arch, a great geological formation, and Chã dos Navegantes an old marine terrace from the last inter-glaciation period.
Another point of great interest is Baleeira beach, where the wild scenery and the remains of a fishermen's shelter will feed our imagination with scenes that took place here since Roman times. This is a nice stop for a swim to refresh.
Let’s take the road for a while and be always aware of your position on the map.
